Injuries have taken their toll on selection this week with the North Melbourne Kangaroos making six changes ahead of the season-concluding clash against the Gold Coast Suns.

Jaidyn Stephenson will join Jack Ziebell (shoulder) and Jed Anderson (concussion) on the sidelines with a back injury.

An ankle injury suffered against Adelaide threatened to sideline Todd Goldstein, but the veteran has been declared fit to challenge the Suns.

Despite tracking well through the week, small forward Paul Curtis hasn't been able to shake off an injured shoulder and will miss out, as will Jackson Archer due to a hip issue.

As announced on Wednesday, Josh Goater will make his debut for the club after an impressive season at VFL level.

Aaron Hall has been omitted while Hugh Greenwood has been included in the starting 22 after replacing Ziebell as the substitute last week.

After stints in the reserves, Jack Mahony, Jason Horne-Francis, Aiden Bonar and Flynn Perez have all been recalled to the senior team.

The quartet of Atu Bosenavulagi, Josh Walker, Charlie Comben and Kayne Turner will serve as the emergencies with one set to be named as the substitute.
