Jy Simpkin's career-best outing for disposals has seen him rewarded in the AFL Coaches Association's AFL Champion Player Award.
Simpkin received five votes from interim North Melbourne Kangaroos senior coach Leigh Adams and Essendon counterpart Ben Rutten.
The 24-year-old had a game-high 41 disposals, six clearances and five tackles in the Kangaroos' loss to the Bombers.
Simpkin wasn't the only Roo to receive votes, with Cam Zurhaar also earning one.
Zurhaar kicked four goals from his 18 disposals and had seven score involvements.
Bomber Mason Redman scored a perfect 10 votes, while Zach Merrett (seven), Jake Stringer (six) and Nick Hind (one) also polled.
