The ruck position has two standout mid-priced options, and no AFL Fantasy Classic team can ignore both in 2014.

Hamish McIntosh didnt play a game at Geelong due to injury, but has averaged over 90 in two of the past five seasons. Hes tracking along to be a part of the teams Round 1 plans.

Aaron Sandilands has been a giant of the game for years, but injury also restricted him from reaching his best last year. When fit, as he appears to be right now, he is among the top 2 or 3 fantasy ruckmen in the league.

We see these players as low-risk, high-reward. If they perform to their capacity, they?ll increase sharply in value and score among the top players for this position. If they succumb to injury again then they can be easily swapped out for another cheap option, without having occupied a large percentage of the salary cap.
