Scott McMahon will look to continue his impressive form in the VFL, as he edges closer to a senior return.
The defender was named in an emergency in the Roos' squad to travel to Fremantle - his efforts at Werribee clearly not going unrecognised by the coaching staff.
Regularly the recipient of praise from his teammates and the development coaches, McMahon is doing everything right in his bid to gain a call-up.
The 28-year-old will be in action as Werribee takes on Frankston on Monday.
Alongside him, rookie Will Fordham named McMahon as one of his most valuable on-ground teachers.
After gathering 25 disposals last week, the youngster will be looking to build on his good form.
Kayne Turner and Majak Daw were also named as emergencies for North, meaning Werribee will be sweating on the availability of the trio.
Meanwhile at North Ballarat, Aaron Mullett will aim to play his second full game in succession after a promising performance last week at Etihad Stadium.
The left-footer is still working on regaining the touch that made him an important part of the North outfit during 2013 and the early part of 2014, but a quality performance could have him right in the running for a recall against Collingwood in Round 9.
In the Roosters’ defensive 50, Sam Durdin and Joel Tippett have been forming a strong partnership over the last fortnight. The duo are usually tasked with the job of the opposition’s two best key-forwards with that task unlikely to change on Sunday morning at Footscray’s spiritual home.
