Todd Goldstein has had a fine career. He's a Syd Barker Medal winner, All-Australian and the all-time VFL/AFL hitout leader. In his twilight years, could he add another personal gong to the cabinet?
Goldstein, an almost 34-year-old ruck who weighs in at over 200cm and 100kg has been nominated for the Four'N Twenty Mark of the Year. Our game is just full of surprises.
One of the modern-day greats of North Melbourne, 'Goldy' has been spending far more time forward in 2022, partially to help groom the club's next generation, partially because it turns out he has the ability to fly.
As one of Round 8's Mark of the Year nominees, Cam Zurhaar knew what he was doing when he lofted the ball into the top of the goalsquare. He'd benefitted from service like this when he soared over Goldy back then, it was now time to repay the favour.
After creating distance between himself and his defender, Goldstein attacked the football and flew over the heads of a clutch of players, sitting on top of former teammate Mason Wood's shoulders to bring the ball down from the stratosphere.
Goldstein has been nominated alongside Demons duo Charlie Spargo and Sam Weideman.

The ruck's big day was also rewarded with a vote in the AFL Coaches' Association Champion Player of the Year award.
Roos coach David Noble and Saints coach Brett Ratten agreed on best-on-ground Brad Hill (five votes each), Jack Sinclair (four) and Jade Gresham (three), but were split over who deserved two and one.
Nick Larkey remains on top of the Roos' leaderboard with 10 votes, with captain Jack Ziebell and co-vice captain Jy Simpkin within touching distance.
