The jumper number of North’s first live pick in the 2013 Draft has been confirmed, with Trent Dumont to wear 14 in 2014 and beyond.

It’s the lowest number Dumont has worn after donning 27 in the SANFL for Norwood during 2013.

Surprisingly, only one Roo has ever played more than 100 games in number 14 – Gerald Eastmure with 120 from 1954 to 1961.

Eastmure is currently the only name on the locker in the Aegis Park change rooms, presenting a big chance for Dumont to make a lasting impression at the club.

It has been multiple years since a player in number 14 has been a regular member of North’s best 22, dating back to Gavin Urquhart in 2009.

Jordan Gysberts had the number most recently.

NMFC.com.au will reveal Ben Brown’s jumper number in the coming days.
