A shock loss to Essendon means changes are likely according to experienced Demon Bernie Vince.

"With a performance like that, you'd probably expect a couple (of changes), so there'll be some nervous guys,” he told the media on Monday.

While the 13-point defeat derailed the club’s chances of securing back-to-back wins for the first time since round 14, 2011, Vince believes it was just a “bad day” at the office.

"We're really confident where we're at as a footy club and we'll do everything we can to turn it around this week,” Vince said.

"As a whole footy club, we're in it together so there's no point in yelling and screaming at each other.

"We had a bad day on the weekend.”

Melbourne will face a strong North Melbourne side at Blundstone Arena in Hobart on Sunday – a team the Demons haven’t beaten in their last 14 attempts.
