After Round 3's frustrating result against the Lions, David Noble may be tempted to make a statement with his selection ahead of this weekend's clash with the Swans.

With players coming back from injury and a plenty of strong performers in at VFL level so far this season, a number of players are champing at the bit for a senior call-up.

North Melbourne's midfield is set to be bolstered by the immediate return of Luke Davies-Uniacke after the young gun missed last week's game due to a concussion.

Davies-Uniacke started the season strongly in Round 1 with 27 disposals and five clearances, but was forced out of the West Coast game in the first quarter after a tackle from Eagle Willie Rioli.

Atu Bosenavulagi was named as one of the Kangaroos' best performers in the VFL clash with the Lions. The pacy defender impressed with a number of high-quality intercept marks and solid ball-use.

He finished the clash with 18 disposals and a team-high eight marks.

Bosenavulagi was forced to bide his time for a run in the senior side in 2021, but showed strong improvement in his seven AFL appearances for the season.

Should the Kangaroos' tall stocks need a refresh this week, Charlie Comben and Callum Coleman-Jones are both performing well at VFL level.

Comben kicked a well-taken goal in the first term against the Lions and even spent time in the ruck as he attempted to impose himself on the contest. Coleman-Jones finished the clash with 12 disposals, 20 hitouts and five clearances.

Flynn Perez has been continuing his recovery from a knee reconstruction at VFL level, and the 2019 draftee has been one of the Kangaroos' top performers these past two weeks.

After kicking two goals against Williamstown in Round 1, the defender turned wing player racked up 21 disposals against the Lions.

While he's performing well, Perez has played just three games of football since the back end of 2020. A cautious approach will be taken with his potential integration into the senior setup while he continues to find match fitness.

Kyron Hayden only played the first half of the Brisbane VFL clash as he was required by the senior side as an emergency.

Hayden is yet to make a senior appearance so far this season, however he was initially named in the side that took on the Eagles and only missed out due to illness.

Draftees Paul Curtis, Miller Bergman and Josh Goater are all pushing hard for a senior debut, with the trio all performing strongly at different times in the VFL so far this season.

Curtis, who was named as an emergency for the senior clash against the Lions, failed to hit the scoreboard at VFL level on the weekend, but his run of six goals in the three games prior should give him some currency for a potential call-up.

Bergman was one of the Kangaroos' more impressive performers against the Lions at VFL level, collecting 19 disposals from the half-back flank, while Goater showed good intent in the contest on the weekend.
