The Upstream Challenge has been launched for 2022 with some famous North Melbourne Kangaroos names joining in the fun.

Launched in 2005, the event has raised over $5m for various charity partners and both Kangaroos players and fans have always been great supporters.

This year's event will be held on Saturday, April 2, and participants can choose between either the 20km or 50km run/walk, with 100 per cent of the funds raised going to your selected cause.

This year the charity partners include the Isabella & Marcus Foundation, Dignity Free Network, Let’s Talk, and Debra Australia.

Continuing the strong Kangaroos connection that has been created by club legends such as Anthony Stevens, Glenn Archer and Darren Crocker, we have Scott Thompson returning for his second edition with Michael Firrito making his debut, both attempting the 50km event.

Unfortunately Stevens, one of the great supporters of the Upstream Challenge isn’t able to participate this year, but we are challenging Roos members and fans to 'Take Stevo's Spot' this year.

In great news for anyone wishing to participate, entry is FREE for North Melbourne fans. Simply use the code SHINBONER at the checkout and get fundraising, which will also enter you into the draw for a fantastic matchday experience, hosted by Stevo himself.

The winner will receive a double pass into the Arden Lounge and access to the guard of honour, among other experiences on the day.
