Boomer to me means the true Shinboner Spirit, he has come from the Classic 90's group through to the struggling 00's and is still there trying to inspire the team and mentor the younger guys to be a troo roo.
I hope he continues next season and becomes the AFL games record holder, congratulations Boomer, well deserved and I hope you have a blinder in your 400th Game, cheers.

Brent Harvey is just a true champion of the North Melbourne Football Club & has been since day one, premiership player, b & f winner, team player, true gentleman.
There have been some true champions of our great club & this little champ is definitely one of the best. Congratulations Boomer, outstanding effort to play 400 games.

Fantastic achievement Boomer and congrats on 400 AFL games with North Melbourne Kangaroos! My daughter Sinead is a fan of yours. We met you at the Traralgon Plaza when you were a new player for NM with Simmo and got your autographs. Premiership player and terrific best and fairest - nearly won the Brownlow one year. All the best for the weekend and the future.

He's just a great champion, and his loyalty to the North Melbourne footy club. Not many players stay at the one club these days. Love the guy!

An absolute legend of the club his manner on and off field always 110%. Has been there through all highs and lows of club and still got the shinboner in him, awesome effort boomer would like to see him play another season

I am a Queenslander and have followed NMFC since 1972. There have been many champs during that time but the leader of that pack would no doubt be 'Boomer'. A player with natural ability and fairness as well as the true philosophy of this mighty game at heart is a rare quality indeed. Congratulations Brent Harvey on reaching this commendable milestone.

Boomer Harvey means to me a role model that everyone can look up to. From being called the kid that looked like a jockey on the football field, to an outright champion of the club. He has proven that "Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard".

Boomer you're an absolute legend not only at North Melbourne but the whole AFL. You are the classic example of a true Shinboner in every aspect of your game. It has been a pleasure watching you play every week for all this time. Good luck on your 400 game milestone. Looking forward to seeing you in action. You are a true champion. Go Boomer

Been following North since 98 and Harvey has always been my favourite player even when the king was running around. Always believed you were underrated by the football public until recent years. Thanks for all the good memories. One of the greatest to ever wear the blue and white and play the game

As one member of a whole family of Roo supporters I can say for as long as I can remember boomer has always been my favourite player. Whether it's standing up in a time of need or slotting a goal after an 80 metre run. He is North Melbourne

I started going for North Melbourne around the same time this guy was recruited to the club. I would have been about 5 or 6 years old the first time I seen him out there in the royal blue and white and he instantly became my favourite. I have grown up watching him grow as a brilliant player.
All of my previous North jumpers have sported the number 29 on the back, I even requested that my playing jumper back in 1998 had the number 29 on it. What a legend of our club and of our game this guy has become, 400 AFL games is such a crazy good achievement! Well done Boomer, super proud.

With Boomer reaching 400 games it goes to show that size doesn't matter, and that you can achieve anything in life unless if you have the qualities of hard work and determination. For me, Boomer is an inspiration, and a true gentleman with a heart of gold. I hope that on Saturday night my beloved Roos can get the win for the little champ in celebration of him reaching the big 400.

Boomer represents my lifetime memories as a North Melbourne supporter. We have had some champion players in my lifetime but none have left an impression on me like he has, he has earned every game, every kick and every goal through hard work and preparation. He was gifted with talent but work rate is what sets him apart from the rest. We may never see another man reach this milestone again. He is a legend and will be remembered forever!

Boomer epitomises the shinboner spirit, the little fella who runs around with the big boys, never gives in, always shows the young fellas the meaning of hard running. Congrats Ol fella on 400 games hopefully it will be 450 when you retire
