Drew Petrie will overtake Glenn Archer on North’s all-time games played list, while Jamie Macmillan will also celebrate a special milestone this weekend.

While the focus was on teammate Brent Harvey in his record-breaking 427th AFL match, Petrie quietly equalled Shinboner of the Century Archer on 311 games.

After this week, he will sit at number two on the Roos’ games played list, pulling on the royal blue and white jumper for the 312th time on Saturday night.

Petrie debuted in Round 1, 2001 and continues to be an integral part in North’s forward set up.

The 2011 All Australian has booted 424 goals, the fifth-most of any Roo, only behind Wayne Carey (671 goals), Harvey (512), John Longmire (511) and Malcolm Blight (444).

In his 311th game for North, Petrie also managed to collect a mark and goal of the year nomination and won plenty of plaudits for his pressure and attack on the footy.

Meanwhile, Macmillan will notch up his 100th game this week.

Macmillan debuted in 2010 and has cemented his place in the AFL line up since a run of unfortunate injuries, including a fractured fibula, cruelled his 2013 and 2014 campaigns.

The vocal Roo has also taken on leadership duties at the club, joining North’s leadership group in 2015, at just 23-years-old.

He collected 31 disposals in last week’s win over St Kilda – a career-high – with several media outlets declaring his performance the best in his 99 games for North to date.
