Gold Coast Suns' midfielder Jack Bowes will miss this Saturday’s clash with North Melbourne, after suffering a quad injury against the Giants.

“Jack’s had quite a bit of extensive damage to the quadriceps muscle and unfortunately that will see him miss a significant period of time while we’re rehabbing that,” Gold Coast’s Head Physiotherapist Lindsay Bull told the club's website.

Defender Jordan Murdoch is also under an injury cloud.

“Jordan hurt his foot at the end of the second quarter in the game,” Bull said.

“He managed to play out the second half really well and we’ll just de-load him appropriately."

The Suns will be hoping to regain two members of their leadership group for the clash with the Roos, as Touk Miller and Jarrod Harbrow approach full fitness.

“Touk’s progressed really nicely over the last week,” Bull said.

“He’s progressed what he’s doing in terms of running and speed and some footy skills as well.

“We’re hoping that Touk will test really well throughout training this week and hopefully be available for selection.”

“'Harbs' has been managing some groin soreness over the last month or so.

“We elected to de-load him over the weekend with the hope that would settle nicely for him.

“Once again, similar to Touk he’ll have to train and test really well this week and hopefully be available for selection as well.”
