Back from suspension, Ben Cunnington has shaken a heavy tag to help lead North Ballarat to victory over Sandringham in the VFL on Sunday.

The hard-at-it midfielder again showed his potency in attack with 3 goals to his name.

He also collected 24 disposals (17 contested), had 7 clearances and laid 5 tackles in a performance sure to catapult him straight back into contention for an AFL recall.

Cunnington wasn't the only North listed player to star with Cam Richardson blitzing again with 24 possessions, 2 goals and 9 tackles while ball magnet Cruize Garlett bounced back from a quiet game last week with 28 touches, 7 tackles and 7 clearances.

The Roosters won by 30-points and were also aided by Cam Delaney's work down back. The youngster collected 18 disposals, 5 tackles and 6 spoils with his older brother Luke racking up 14 touches including 12 one per centers.

Young ruckman Ben Mabon had a breakout game notching up a whopping 40 hit-outs to go along with 18 possessions and 3 clearances, Aaron Mullett played on Saint Terry Milera and picked up 20 possessions and 3 spoils.

Brad McKenzie was moved onto Brett Peake after a quiet first half with great effect. He allowed the experienced Saint just 4 possessions while collecting 10 for himself as well as 2 goals.

In attack the Roosters were serviced well with Aaron Edwards who had 11 touches and a goal and Aaron Black who finished with 9 possessions, 8 hitouts, 1 goals and 3 behinds.

Max Warren was encouraging showing some speed and power on his way to 13 disposals, 4 tackles and 3 spoils and Gavin Urquhart ended with 15 possessions.
