Guests were treated to breakfast hampers, music and exclusive online videos as part of the virtual Breakfast event, with the likes of Prime Minister Scott Morrison, AFL CEO Gillon McLachlan and an expert footy panel providing the perfect beginning to Grand Final day.
“The logistics of this year have been hard to comprehend and I’m very grateful to the players, club and our supporters for working through these 204 games. There’s only four weekends, including the AFLW, that haven’t been affected by border closures,” McLachlan said.

Over 930 people in attendance today, which is the biggest event outside of the big game itself.#AFLGF pic.twitter.com/KMd4yV0DEK
In the biggest event outside the game itself, fans were treated to a three-course meal, Colonial Brewing beverages and as always, plenty of entertainment.
Ahead of the big clash between Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs, comedian Pete Rowsthorn had the crowd in stitches, while the likes of Adam Simpson, Dom Sheed, Michael Walters and Mitch Duncan celebrated the highs and lows of Grand Finals past.
Former Eagle Glen Jakovich was a fan-favourite with the locals, parading the Premiership Cup on its way to Optus Stadium.
