Free is a hard-working tall who was selected by the Roos in the 2022 Rookie Draft.
Free spent 2021 and 2022 playing for South Fremantle in the WAFL, where he notched 29 senior games including 18 in 2022 before arriving at Arden Street.
2023: Despite not making his senior debut, Free showed promising signs as the primary reserves ruckman before a shoulder injury cut his maiden campaign short.
He played eight games for Tom Lynch's side, averaging 23.4 hitouts and just under 13 disposals per game.
