All the information you need to know ahead of the 2021 NAB AFLW Draft.
When is it and where can I watch it?
The 2021 NAB AFLW Draft will take place on Tuesday, July 27 at 6:45pm AEST.
You can watch the draft live on womens.afl, hosted by Nat Edwards, Sarah Black and former Geelong AFLW player Melissa Hickey.
What picks do we have?
We have six draft picks at hand this year, with our picks coming in at 13, 19, 28, 43, 51 and 56 in the national order, or picks 9, 12, 18, 26, 30 and 32 in the Victorian pool.
We could potentially add six new Roos to our AFLW side, and we couldn’t be more excited!

Why are there different drafts for different states?
Unlike the AFL draft, each player has the flexibility to nominate the state in which they wish to be drafted. This is due to the part-time nature of the women’s competition, and the commitment an AFLW athlete would have to make for a six-month fixture.
Due to our Tasmanian alliance, if a player were to only nominate Tasmania, the North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos are the only team that can draft that player.
