Mid-January is traditionally the time for players to work to exhaustion with fitness their focus.  All clubs look to gain the upper edge on their opponents by any means possible and it seems North Melbourne and Geelong have upped the ante.

On Friday, the Kangaroos travelled to Simonds Stadium for a rare and early opportunity to test themselves against one of the best sides in the competition, Geelong.

The Kangaroos trained separately before Chris Scott’s players joined the session, for what was likely to be the closest each team will come to match practice ahead of intra-club matches and the NAB Cup.
