Victorian based clashes in the VFL are set to return this weekend due to the easing of Victoria’s Covid restrictions.
While games between interstate clubs have been allowed to proceed, all Victorian based VFL clubs have been on hiatus since the postponement announcement on May 27.
North Melbourne is set to play Coburg on Saturday, June 19 at Arden Street Oval and will be hoping to pick up where it left off.
North defeated Essendon’s VFL side by 15 points in its last fixture for its first win of the season, with the likes of Tristan Xerri and Will Phillips impressing.
Coburg is currently sitting 15th on the ladder with a 3-2 record, having played one less game than North.
Spectators will not be allowed at any VFL or VFLW games in Victoria, but the AFL will continue to work with the Victorian State Government and Health Officials on the return of crowds.
