A trio of North Melbourne defenders have earned recognition in the race for AFLCA Champion Player of the Year this week, as Aaron Hall, Jack Ziebell and Ben McKay’s performances against Collingwood earned all of them votes.
Hall’s move into the defensive line has proved to be an inspired one, with his 37-disposal and 8-mark effort against the Magpies capturing the attention of David Noble and Nathan Buckley.
Ziebell’s 30 disposals at 80 per cent efficiency was enough to earn him one vote, while McKay’s strong performance in the heart of North’s defence saw him grab a vote too.
