Daniel Wells could wear North’s Indigenous jumper for the first time this Friday night, assuming he gets through training on Wednesday.
Wells’ final test will come at the club’s main training session, with the man himself confident he’ll take his place against the Swans.
“I hope so (to play). I’ve got to get through training tomorrow first,” told AFL 360 on Tuesday.
“It’s only a light session – so, so far, so good.
“More than likely I might be, but I’ve just got to make sure I get that last hurdle.”
Wells had a strong start to the season after playing just two games in 2015, before missing last week due to achilles soreness.
“Obviously with my history with injuries with the achilles, we are being pretty cautious,” he said.
“I probably could have played last week if we were pushing it.
“Brad’s said publically he wants me to get back out when I’m ready to go, not just for this week, but for the rest of the season.”
