GM of Football Brady Rawlings spoke to North Media to give an update on some of the Roos’ recent injuries and when they can be expected to return.
Luke Davies-Uniacke (calf)
“Luke had the corked calf going into last week’s game. It was at the level where we didn’t want to take the risk, as he’s obviously a very important player for us.
“He’s done some running this week and pulled up well, so we’re anticipating he’ll be available for selection.”
Cam Zurhaar (concussion)
“Cam Zurhaar hasn’t had any symptoms since day two. He’s in the green period now (of the concussion protocol). He will have to tick off a contact training session to be available for selection.
“He’s done everything he needs to do to this point, so we’re confident he’ll play this weekend.”
Aaron Hall (concussion)
“Aaron went straight into a 12-day concussion period. He’s our fourth concussion of the season, so we have a bit of experience in this space already, unfortunately.
“We anticipate he’ll have his first individual session this week, and then be back with the main group next week.
“If he’s able to do everything we need him to do, he should be OK for the Melbourne game.”
Charlie Lazzaro (hamstring awareness)
“Charlie felt some pain behind the knee, so we didn’t want to take any risks there.
“He’ll be assessed on Thursday morning, and if he’s deemed fit to train fully and gets through training, he’ll be available for selection.”
