SUMMARY:
Coming off a bye and a win against Frankston the previous week, Werribee will go in with plenty of confidence against the Bulldogs.
Footscray on the other hand has lost its last two matches, but boasts a strong contingent of AFL-listed players and has been one of the best sides in the competition over the past few seasons.
The Tigers will have bad memories of the pre-season; despite being understrength, they fell by 131 points to the Dogs in a practice match.
WHAT THE COACH SAID:
“We’ll expect them (the Bulldogs) to be playing their high-energy, high-attacking football.
“We’ll need to come up with some tactics to offset them.
“They’ve been impressive at AFL level obviously and the list is up and about.
“They’ve had a couple of injuries of late, which is unfortunate for them, but we fully expect them to be red-hot.” - John Lamont on heraldsun.com.au.

THE AFL CONTINGENT:
North (Werribee)
Werribee boasts one of the potent forward attacks in the VFL, with the likes of Mason Wood, Majak Daw and Aaron Black in the key posts.
Wood has been in fine form in recent weeks, and was a late withdrawal from the Roos' side against Gold Coast last week.
The Tigers will enjoy a mix of experience and youth through the middle, with the likes of Farren Ray and Trent Dumont complemented by the draftees, Declan Mountford and Ryan Clarke.
Down back, Lachlan Hansen will be vital to stopping the Dogs' forwards.
Western Bulldogs (Footscray)
Will Minson is a name familar to all AFL fans, and the Dogs' big man will lead the charge for his team, giving Daw and Braydon Preuss a big challenge.
Kieran Collins and Josh Dunkley are among the draftees looking to stake their claim.
THE VFL CONTINGENT:
Werribee
Isaac Conway has been in fine form in the opening two games through the middle, while Matt Hanson was close to best-on-ground with 35 disposals. The pair will be pivotal to the Tigers' chances.
Footscray
Former Blue and Magpie Jordan Russell was the Dogs' best on-ground in their loss last week.
Matt Hanson is a prime mover through the Werribee midfield.
