Four North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos' stars have capped off stellar home and away seasons by being included in the extended All-Australian squad.

With 40 players selected from across the league, North’s four nominees was tied for the second-most of any team in the competition.

Finishing third in the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year, Jasmine Garner earned her nomination through her fantastic all-round midfield play.

North’s leading goal-kicker with eight for the season, Garner averaged 21 disposals, 5 tackles and 6 clearances a game as she consistently dominated opponents.

Skipper Emma Kearney has been named in the every AFLW All-Australian side since the competition’s inception in 2017, and could continue her streak after yet another brilliant personal campaign.

Leading by example, Kearney never fails to stand up when the game is on the line and has gained a reputation for kicking big goals from midfield when needed.

Often the victim of a hard tag, she still averaged 21 disposals a game as opponents struggled to dampen her impact on games.

North’s most prolific ball-winner Ash Riddell broke the club record for disposals in a game in round nine against Fremantle, with that performance summing up a brilliant season from the midfielder.

Averaging just under 22 disposals and 10 contested possessions per game, Riddell’s tough and contested style of football often sets the tone for North’s engine room as she runs the show from midfield.

Emma King has seen a return to All-Australian form this season, as she split her time between the forward line and the ruck.

King kicked three goals in the first quarter of round one, setting the benchmark for the rest of the season.

Averaging almost 20 hit-outs a game, King is a dominant force around stoppages, and opposition defenders struggled to deal with her strong contested marking when she drifted forward.

The final team of 21 will be announced on April 20 at the W Awards.
