Majak Daw says he’s better prepared for AFL after a string of strong performances in the VFL and more maturity.

The 24-year old has been one of Werribee’s best so far this season but had to bide his time in the second tier competition due to the form of North’s other key forwards in Drew Petrie, Jarrad Waite and Ben Brown.

“I’m just a bit more mentally prepared than I have been in the past,” Daw told NMFC.com.au.

“I didn’t really run out games efficiently, but now I think I know what I can push through and that’s probably a part of being a bit more mature and just knowing the expectation really.”

Daw will play his first game of the season against the Gold Coast Suns at Metricon Stadium on Saturday evening.
