North Melbourne is a club that prides itself on an open-door approach to the media, and that relationship will be taken to a new level on Saturday as Channel Seven’s broadcast is given a new look.

Seven’s Saturday night team including Brian Taylor and Luke Darcy will be within touching distance of the North players as they warm up, with the network’s pre-game show to be presented from the Kangaroos’ change-rooms.

"Allowing Channel Seven access to the inner sanctum of the rooms is an opportunity for us to engage our fans and key stakeholders on TV like never before,” General Manager of Media and Communications Heath O’Loughlin told The Age.

''Since James Brayshaw took over as chairman, we've always had an open media policy at North and this innovation with Channel Seven takes things to a new level.

“We will look for new opportunities like this down the track and continue to lead the way.''

The club’s latest innovation comes on the back of the introduction of pre-game website interviews, as well as an interactive video allowing supporters to ask coach Brad Scott questions about selection.

kangaroos.com.au will provide a behind-the-scenes look at Channel Seven’s special broadcast following the match.
