While many of the competition’s veterans have been rested at some point during the NAB Challenge, Drew Petrie continues to soldier on.

The 33-year-old key forward has been selected to play against the Hawks on Saturday night, as part of North’s 27-man squad.

The Roos will field their strongest side yet with 19 players from last year’s preliminary final to feature. The only players left out from the loss to West Coast are Shaun Higgins, Kayne Turner and Robbie Tarrant.

Brent Harvey, Jarrad Waite, Ben Cunnington, Sam Wright, Shaun Atley, Jamie Macmillan, Jed Anderson, Michael Firrito and Scott Thompson are set to return after being rested for last week’s match in Wagga.
