In The Mix: Round 15
Three wins in a row has North inside the eight but the challenge increases this week when it faces the third-placed West Coast at Blundstone Arena.
kangaroos.com.au takes a look at who is in the mix to be called up to the senior side and you can have your say below.
Cam Delaney
West Coast possesses multiple key position forwards who have the ability to play further up the ground. In the younger Delaney brother, North has someone who is more than adequate at filling both requirements.
Aaron Edwards
Despite a quiet performance for North Ballarat on Sunday, conditions were not made for forwards. Edwards' though, has credits in the bank and the defensive job he performed on Shannon Hurn in Round 6 will hold him in good stead.
Ben McKinley
The former Eagle has been consistent for Werribee, kicking another three goals on Saturday in its win over Casey. While he seems to be placed slightly further back in the pecking order, conditions in Hobart on Saturday could suit medium forwards more than tall, key-position players.
Aaron Mullett
Mullett is another of the players outside the current 22 who played in Round 6 against the Eagles. As a substitute on the day, he collected 6 disposals in the final term and offered an extra option to break the lines with his long kicking.
Cam Pedersen
Pedersen was brought into the team to play West Coast at Patersons Stadium in Round 6 and acquitted himself well. North got close to the Eagles on the day, so the match committee could look to take a similar structure into Saturday's game.
Cam Richardson
Richardson made his debut against West Coast at Patersons Stadium in Round 1, 2011. He could also find the conditions at Blundstone Arena to his liking considering the amount of time he has spent in a similar climate in Ballarat playing for the Roosters.
Will Sierakowski
Sierakowski is on the verge of an AFL debut, yet the superb form of the half-backs in the North side is keeping him on the outside looking in. However he did his chances of a call-up no harm on the weekend with a game that development coach John Lamont critiqued as having 'real AFL stuff' involved.
Ben Speight
After a quiet start to the year, Speight has found more of the ball at VFL level in the last few weeks, including a 21-possession game on the wing on Saturday for Werribee. Known as the 'super-sub' in 2011, Speight's pace could be a valuable asset to an already-quick North outfit.
Scott Thompson
A late withdrawal from the St Kilda match with a sore back, Thompson had been in good form for North. He will be right in the frame to play assuming he is cleared to play.
Ben Warren
Warren played further up the field than normal for Werribee on Saturday in an attempt to add more variety to his game. Collecting 14 disposals, he managed to exert an influence and could be an option to play a high half-forward role on Saturday.
Ben Cunnington
Before his one-week suspension in the VFL for tripping, Ben Cunnington would undoubtedly have been in line for a recall after 34 possessions and 4 goals for North Ballarat.
Cruize Garlett
As the emergency for North’s senior side last week, the midfielder could be an ideal fit on a smaller ground in cold conditions. His recent form stacks up better than most.
