NORTH Melbourne ruckman Majak Daw will be welcomed back to the club next week after being banished for five weeks because of a club-imposed suspension.

The Kangaroos' leadership group ruled on Thursday that Daw would be allowed to return.

The rookie is likely to be back at Aegis Park as early as Monday.

North coach Brad Scott said that Daw had worked hard to regain the respect of those around the club.

Daw had minor knee surgery during the off-season.

He was suspended by the club in early February after going out to a nightclub while in rehabilitation and then lying to the coach when asked about it.

"Maj is now just basically dotting the i's and crossing the t's to be formally reintroduced to the group," Scott said.

Scott said he had been impressed with the way Daw had responded to the suspension.

''My biggest concern with Majak was his stuff off the field, but he has been exemplary in the last five weeks," Scott said.

"He has had a really structured suspension from the football club. And he has done everything that has been asked of him, and more."

The most immediate concern is his recovery from his knee injury.

"He is coming from a long way back," Scott said when asked if he expected Daw to play a senior game at some stage soon.
