Five wins in a row is North Melbourne's longest winning streak since late-2008, coincidentally the last season the Kangaroos reached the finals.

With plenty of other statistics to come out of the 24-point defeat of Essendon, kangaroos.com.au takes a look at all the numbers.

Individuals

- With 12 marks, Sam Wright had the equal highest of any player in Round 20 including Bryce Gibbs, Grant Birchall, Danny Stanley, Beau Wilkes and Brian Lake.

- Wright also had the third highest uncontested possession count with 24. It was a career high, beating the 18 he had twice reached previously.

- Scott Thompson's six rebound 50's was his second highest total of the season, behind only the seven he had against the Western Bulldogs in Round 7.

- In Scott Thompson, Michael Firrito, Drew Petrie and Robbie Tarrant, North Melbourne had four of the 11 players who had 100 per cent game time in Round 20.

- Scott McMahon's seven one-percenters was his highest total since his return game against Gold Coast in Round 12. At an average of 5.5 per game, McMahon is third at the club behind Scott Thompson (6.2 per game) and Nathan Grima (8.3 per game).

Team

- After conceding more than 100-points six times in the first ten rounds, North has only let an opponent score that much one time in the ensuing nine matches.

- Along a similar vein, North itself failed to score more than 100 in six of the eight matches between Rounds 4 and 12. Since then it has scored 100 or more on all but one occasion.

- Only averaging 89 marks per game this season, North had 106 on Sunday. The efforts to slow the tempo of the game down clearly evident through the increase in marks.

- It was also reflected through the increase in uncontested possessions. With 256 for the game, it was 21 up on the season average of 235.

- At 79 per cent, North had the second highest disposal efficiency of the round, behind only Hawthorn with 82.
