North Melbourne list changes
North Melbourne has made the first of its post-season list changes, delisting three rookies.
But AFL.com.au understands North has recently commenced negotiations to keep out-of-contract senior players Liam Anthony, Lachlan Hansen and Lindsay Thomas at Aegis Park.
Urquhart, now 24, played 41 games for North and looked a star in the making in his first two AFL seasons in 2008-09.
The skilled half-back racked up 21 possessions on debut in round 10, 2008 against the Brisbane Lions, and won that year's round 18 Rising Star nomination after a 22-possession game against the Lions.
Recruited from Morningside, Queensland with pick No. 21 in the 2006 NAB AFL Draft, Urquhart played 32 of a possible 36 games from his debut to the end of 2009.
It earned him a lucrative three-year contract extension from North that was largely designed to thwart an approach from Gold Coast as the Suns built their initial player list.
However, Urquhart then fell dramatically from grace, playing just eight games in 2010 and one as a substitute in 2011.
Urquhart was delisted at the end of last season but, after being overlooked by every other club in the national, pre-season and rookie drafts, was reclaimed by North with its last selection in the rookie draft.
He spent all of 2012 playing with the Roos' VFL affiliate North Ballarat.
Lynch, 24, and Mangan, 21, both came to Aegis Park via last year's rookie draft. Both were key members of the 2012 Werribee team that went within a kick of playing off in the VFL Grand Final, losing by five points to Geelong in last Sunday's preliminary final.
Lynch played two games for the Western Bulldogs from 2007-09 and got a second chance in the AFL with North after starring as a midfielder in Port Melbourne's 2011 VFL premiership season.
