In a new feature on kangaroos.com.au, we'll be following each of North Melbourne's new additions on the training track in the lead-up to the NAB Cup.

Ben Mabon was North Melbourne's final pick in the 2010 National Draft and it’s hoped he will provide Brad Scott with a future ruck option following the departure of David Hale.

Agile and athletic for his height, Mabon has been tagged a developing ruckman and will have the experience of Hamish McIntosh and Todd Goldstein to call on during his time at Arden Street.

So impressive has the young big man been on the track with his ball handling and skills, McIntosh has expressed doubt as to whether he's really 200cm tall.

On Monday, January 17, our cameras were focused on Ben Mabon as he battled in the ruck against the much bigger and stronger Goldstein.

Check out the video above for training vision, comments from Mabon and the final word from Goldstein.
