"It's a fantastic honour. I was inducted into the AFL Hall of Fame earlier this year but I must say, the AFL is not my passion. The North Melbourne Football Club is my passion," said Archer to the crowd at the Crown Palladium.
The Shinboner of the Century, Archer is widely regarded as one of the most respected players to ever pull on a football jumper. A key part of the 1996 and 1999 premierships, Archer played 311 games over a career that spanned 16 seasons.
