Goddard rubbed out
The Match Review Panel had plenty to adjudicate over following a spiteful clash between North Melbourne and St Kilda with four incidents assessed.
Michael Firrito was cleared of contact against St Kilda’s Ahmed Saad during the first quarter, but Saint Brendan Goddard wasn’t as lucky. He copped a three-week ban (two with an early sanction) for striking Sam Wright.
St Kilda’s Sean Dempster and Jarryn Geary were cleared for contact on Brent Harvey and Andrew Swallow respectively.
