After a just a half of football and 30-points against the Bulldogs a week earlier, Andrew Swallow racked up a tally of 102, but he’ll need to improve on that number to present real value in the home and away season given he averaged a touch over 99 in 2011 and is priced as a premium midfielder.
Even more impressive was the performance of Ryan Bastinac who barring Lindsay Thomas, Robbie Tarrant and Matt Campbell was the least used Kangaroo in terms of game time.

Bastinac had 24 possessions, and if not for his tendency to use the ball by hand (eight kicks, 16 handballs), he would have gone close to breaking the century. He finished with 73 points, eight above his average from last season and looks a value pick at a little over $300,000.
Traditionally not a popular selection for Dream Team coaches, Michael Firrito found plenty of the ball and despite gathering 14 handballs to go with his seven kicks, he was able to register a handy score of 80. His low scores throughout the rest of the pre-season campaign suggest he’s a wait-and-see option in the opening rounds.
Others to raise eyebrows included Scott Thompson finishing an ultra-consistent NAB Cup in fine fashion (75 points) and Daniel Wells (70 points) as he continues his surge towards a round one start.
Plenty of interest surrounds the form of ruck pair Hamish McIntosh and Todd Goldstein and with both scoring 67 Dream Team points, the former looks the value pick of the two with a $200,000 price differential.
