North Melbourne has officially nominated Next Generation Academy member Tarryn Thomas ahead of this week’s NAB AFL Draft.
The club will now have the option to match any bid for Thomas if a rival club attempts to draft the Tasmanian before North’s first selection, which is set to come at pick 42.
Fellow NGA members Rhyan Mansell and Matthew McGuinness have also been nominated by the Kangaroos.
North has also officially flagged its interest in father-son prospects Bailey Scott and Joel Crocker, who come from the Gold Coast Suns Academy and Sandringham Dragons respectively.
Bailey Scott is the son of Robert Scott, who played 113 games for the club, including the 1996 premiership.
Joel Crocker is the son of Darren, who played 165 games in the royal blue and white, including the 1996 premiership, and is currently director of coaching and assistant coach of the midfield at Arden Street.
