For the second week in a row, North Melbourne will play under the scorching sun with the AFL’s heat policy brought into play.

Quarters will be shortened and breaks extended for the clash against the Cats, and interchange rotations unlimited.

Temperatures of up to 35 degrees are forecast in Geelong, which will also see the subs rule scrapped and teams with six interchange players.

North named a squad of 27 on Thursday, meaning three players will sit out a match it must win to keep the club’s NAB Cup Grand Final ambitions alive.
