Recognising North's history
As time goes by, some of the best pictures in North's history can sometimes fall by the wayside.
As time goes by, some of the best pictures in North Melbourne’s history can sometimes fall by the wayside, never to be seen again.
That is until now.
NMFC.com.au has created a new Twitter account to give the history of the club the attention it deserves.
@NMFCHistory will pay tribute to the former greats of the club, offer behind the scenes photographs and much, much more from the archives.
The avatar selected for the new account is a rare photo of James Henry Gardiner, the man who founded the club in 1869.
During his association with North, at one time or another, he occupied practically every office within the club and was the president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, chairman of the match committee and delegate to the VFA.
If you have any rare photos you’d like featured on @NMFCHistory, email them to web@nmfc.com.au. Otherwise, we hope you just enjoy @NMFCHistory on Twitter.
