Brad Scott and the match committee kept a close eye on the VFL during the bye and would have been impressed with what they saw.

Wins to Werribee and North Ballarat and some standout performances will make things tough at the selection table.

The Gold Coast match was arguably the Kangaroos’ most disappointing of the season so far and things might be changed up to find a winning combination.

NMFC.com.au looks at those in the mix for a call-up.

Have your say on the potential changes in the comments below.

(In numerical order)

Daniel Currie
The Dockers’ big men have been hampered by injuries with Aaron Sandilands, Jonathon Griffin and capable backup Kepler Bradley set to miss.

With much of the responsibility falling on the shoulders of Zac Clarke and young Jack Hannath, North could look to work them over with Currie and Todd Goldstein.

Currie is only one week back from a thumb injury, so a call-up may come as a surprise.

Brad McKenzie
Earmarked by development coach Josh Drummond as a player who is ready to take the step up, some questions still remain over his consistency over four quarters.

The wide open spaces of Patersons Stadium would suit his game which relies on run and precision by foot.

Liam Anthony
The number 4 has been racking up possessions in the VFL, enjoying the opportunity to get some more game-time in his legs after several outings as a substitute or emergency in the seniors.

He is proven at the level and had a 25-disposal performance in his last match against the Dockers.

Ben Jacobs

Another who is finding plenty of football at the Roosters, Jacobs has adapted to a new challenge as an inside midfielder.

Particularly pleasing in recent weeks has been his ability to hound opponents with tackling pressure, while finding plenty of the ball himself.

The former Power player has been praised by the coaches for his continued improvement.

Jordan Gysberts
After being named as an emergency on several occasions, could this be the week for Gysberts to debut in the royal blue and white?

The midfielder continued his good form in Werribee’s win on Saturday with 23 disposals and must be close to the front of the pack for an opportunity.

Luke Delaney
One of the most consistent players at North Ballarat, Delaney has perhaps been the victim of the solid form of North’s current back six.

While his defensive work has been fantastic, the 23-year-old has also added a rebounding side to his game which could increase his chances.

The question is, who would he knock out of the side?

Levi Greenwood
Like Gysberts, Greenwood has been on the cusp for several weeks and is biding his time at Werribee.

The likes of Michael Barlow, David Mundy and Nathan Fyfe have been in great form for Fremantle, so a stopping role isn’t out of the question.

Taylor Garner
Perhaps an outside prospect with limited preparation, Garner possesses the x-factor that North may be searching for.

The 18-year-old was calm under pressure with the game in the balance for North Ballarat, which suggests he won’t be intimidated by a raucous crowd in Perth.

However, he may need more game-time and show he can dominate a VFL match to push his case further.

Majak Daw
A late withdrawal from the clash against Gold Coast, Daw would have to be a good chance as another option to push the Dockers’ talls.

With rain forecast for Sunday, the conditions may not suit the exciting forward, but he’s likely to be in the mix.
