Levi Greenwood's time to impress
Levi Greenwood will look to continue his good form in the VFL in a quest for a spot in the senior side.
Greenwood is one of Werribeeβs key midfielders, playing on both sides of the ball. Development coach Jarred Moore is more qualified than most to speak about his form as his midfield partner.
βIβve been really impressed with the way he goes about his job,β Moore told NMFC.com.au.
βIβm sure heβll go to one player from Frankston (on Saturday), lock him down and then heβll win his own footy.β
Jordie Gysberts is edging closer to a North debut; he was the game-day emergency in the win against St Kilda and returns for the Tigers this week.
Playing as an outside midfielder, Gysberts won't be affected by the week off, according to Moore.
βWeβre looking for him to get some good consistency through the middle, winning his own ball and getting a few clearances.β
Frankston has been in good form of late, and the importance of the Kangaroos' midfielders becomes clear when analysing the opposition's strengths.
βTheyβve (the Dolphins) been competitive in three quarters for the last two weeks when theyβve played quality sides. They pride themselves in winning the contest and winning the hard stuff," Moore added.
βWeβve got to turn up ready, otherwise theyβll get a jump on us, especially down at their home ground where they love to play.β
With a top eight spot on the line for Werribee, Will Sierakowski will be welcomed back after his stint at AFL level, while Ayden Kennedy will again line up in a defence which has to deal with Michael Lourey, currently third on the VFL goal kicking ladder.
North Ballarat has the bye this weekend.
