The Kangaroos played a fast, exciting brand of footy in 2012, averaging 107 points (team score, not Dream Team) a game. They have a strong group of young players with between 35 and 65 games' experience – including Shaun Atley, Jack Ziebell, Kieran Harper, Ben Cunnington and Ryan Bastinac – who will all aim to up their averages and propel Brad Scott's team further up the ladder this year. However, when considering a North Melbourne player for your team, take the fixture into account. The Roos were one of only two teams to play Gold Coast and GWS twice last year; this year their return match-ups include Hawthorn, Adelaide, Collingwood and Geelong. No easy points against that lot.
