Sam Wright to make amends
After missing the match against the Cats, defender Sam Wright is back for North Melbourne.
Highly regarded and skilled, Wright was unable to take his place at Etihad Stadium in Round 2 due to a minor knee injury. The club's medical staff opted to rest the 22-year-old and are now confident he is ready to return against the Swans in Hobart.
Wright had an uncharacteristically quiet game against Collingwood in Round 1 registering just 7 possessions and will be looking to get his season on track on Saturday. His output was a long way off his career best 32 possessions against the Bombers last year and he was clearly hindered by his knee issue.
As reported earlier by NMFC.com.au, Taylor Hine has also been included by the Roos and will play his 10th AFL game when he runs out in North colours at Blundstone Arena.
Former Port player Ben Jacobs and Kieran Harper have been omitted with the latter remaining on the emergency list.
Harper has struggled to find the footy in the first two rounds collecting just 3 and 6 possessions respectively. Jacobs was the substitute player last week and managed 8 touches after collecting 12 disposals against the Magpies the previous match.
North draftee Taylor Garner has been also been named as an emergency as well as Majak Daw. The 19-year-old was taken with pick 15 in the 2012 Draft and has been rewarded for a solid outing with North Ballarat against Collingwood in the VFL last week.
