Jack Ziebell and Aaron Mullett have been rewarded for their fine seasons with recognition among the AFL Players’ 22under22 team.

Voted for via social media, the two Kangaroos were named on the interchange, alongside some of the league’s best up-and-coming young guns

Ziebell, also named as vice captain of the team, had the most consistent season of his short career, averaging around 21 disposals and a goal a game during 2013. He was particularly impressive towards the end of the year, with a 27-possession, four goal haul the catalyst for North’s win against Collingwood.

With just nine games to his name heading into the season, Aaron Mullett took all before him as a running defender, and even became an attacking threat with 14 goals for the year.

He played every game, and averaged 19 touches and 4 rebound 50’s per game. It comes just a week after he finished fourth in the NAB Rising Star.
