North to train at Aegis Park on Friday
North Melbourne players will step out onto a newly-surfaced Aegis Park for the first time on Friday morning.
Just hours before boarding a plane to Townsville, the Kangaroos’ squad for the following day’s match will hit the track for pre-game skills.
The final touches were being put on the ground on Monday, with the North emblem painted on the wing and sponsorship hoardings hung on the fences.
With the same dimensions as Etihad Stadium, the oval will allow the team to complete its match preparation at the highest level.
Members and supporters are invited to catch a glimpse of the 2013 team during the light session on Friday.
PLEASE NOTE: The oval is not open to the public until April 1, 2013.
For the protection of the surface, those wishing to obtain autographs and photos are requested to do so once the players have left the arena from behind the fence.
