“It will give us the opportunity to see all the players, rather than just being locked into one club,” Brown told NMFC.com.au.
“We are dealing with them during the week, but just match-day it’s important that we get to see all of them playing.”

The Kangaroos’ joint alignment allows those not selected for the AFL to represent North Ballarat or Werribee.
The chance for players to line up in their preferred position means they are given the best possible opportunity to improve.
Brown believes that setup has been pivotal in allowing North to improve its depth.
“When you are coaching against the club, you don’t get to see the players that aren’t playing regular senior footy,” he added.
“I’ve been really impressed with the level of skill, the attitude… they are quality young men, but they’ve also got an enormous amount of ability so I think the list is in a really strong position.”
Having lined up against North during its most successful era in the mid 90’s, the former Collingwood captain has always held the club in high regard.
“I used to regularly play on Glenn Archer and have really fond memories of playing against North.
“Also coaching, I had an enormous amount of respect for the competitiveness of the players.
“Since I’ve been here I’ve been enormously impressed by the people, the staff and the players, and the facilities are fantastic. The resources here are fantastic.”
Earning the nickname ‘Rowdy’ for his quiet off-field demeanor in his Collingwood days, Brown has always preferred to let his actions do the talking.
“A common-sense footy approach is something I hope that I can bring. Level-headedness as well. I think that’s really important because there’s a hell of a lot that goes into footy. You can’t undervalue that.”
