Harvey wins coaches votes
Despite missing the last two games, Brent Harvey finished a clear winner.
Despite missing the last two games due to suspension, 36-year-old Brent Harvey finished the seaon seven votes clear of his nearest team-mate Ben Cunnington.
Harvey polled in ten matches to finish with 52 votes, his best effort against Brisbane in Round 9 (9 votes).
After an outstanding start to the year, Cunnington ended the season with 45 votes, registering the maximum 10 in Rounds 3 and 20.
Key defender Scott Thompson finished in third place with 37, ahead of Levi Greenwood on 34.
With only 15 games to his name, Swallow polled on seven occasions, but most impressively polled 25 votes in the last three rounds alone.
The skipper was awarded a perfect 10 for his 21 disposals, 10 clearances and 8 tackles against the Demons, earning the top nod over young gun Kayne Turner.
While his debut in Round 20 was somewhat of a surprise at the time, Turner has had no trouble settling into a role in attack. A four goal haul on Saturday night gives him every chance of keeping his spot going into September.
Another youngster among the votes was Ben Brown. The 200 centimetre forward pulled down 5 marks and kicked 3 goals against Melbourne, but it was his athleticism when the ball hit the ground that stood out most.
Meanwhile, Shaun Atley looks to be hitting form at the right time of the season with arguably his best performance of the year.
The hard-running defender finished with 21 disposals and a goal to register three votes.
