Speeding things up
North Melbourne has added more running power to its back half for Saturday night's clash with Geelong.
North Melbourne has added more running power to its back half for Saturday night's clash with Geelong at Etihad Stadium.
Aaron Mullett has been named to play, taking the spot of Scott McMahon - who was substituted out of the Roos' loss to Carlton a fortnight ago.
Mullett has averaged 17 disposals in 13 games so far this season, but has been in and out of the senior side in recent weeks, pushed back to the VFL with North Ballarat.
The 22-year-old is the only player brought into the North lineup, with McMahon named on the emergency list along with Brad McKenzie and re-signed forward Mason Wood.
Nathan Grima will finally make his return via the VFL with Werribee on Sunday after recovering from a foot injury. The key-defender has managed just seven games in 2014 but will be a vital component of the club's run to the finals.
Daniel Wells, Jamie Macmillan and Joel Tippett have all been given an extra week to overcome their respective injuries and are almost certain to play some form of football next weekend. When the trio is available, along with Robbie Nahas, Brad Scott and the match committee will enjoy added flexibility at the selection table, having been hamstrung by a long injury list for the majority of the year.
Geelong has made two changes to its lineup, recalling Allen Christensen and Mark Blicavs in place of Brad Hartman and Dawson Simpson.
