North Melbourne will head to schools and local footy clubs for its Australia Post Community Camp this week.

The players and coaches are set to visit the Wyndham area, working closely with Werribee Football Club, and Tasmania.

Schools, community centres and more will be on the agenda from Thursday, February 25.

It’s not just young players who will benefit, coaching seminars will also be held.

Together with Werribee Footy Club and AFL Vic, multicultural and indigenous talent will be encouraged to put their skills on show as part of the All Nations and KickStart program.

North CEO Carl Dilena said the camp is a great way to engage with clubs and community groups.

“We’re really looking forward to getting out into the community again. The players and coaches really enjoy spending time at the grassroots level and giving something back,” Dilena said.

“The Werribee Football Club has been a big part of our Wyndham program and its players and coaches will work with us to deliver some great activities over the two days.

“We’re also pleased to be spending time not just in Hobart, but right across Tasmania, including Devonport, Ulverstone, Somerset and Rosebery.”

North players and staff will travel to Devonport on the Spirit of Tasmania, which has been dubbed the ‘Roos Cruise’.

The players will take part in footy themed activities during the journey including giveaways, competitions and a raffle.
