SYDNEY Swans co-captain Adam Goodes will miss Saturday's NAB Cup clash with North Melbourne after he accepted a one-game suspension for rough conduct on Geelong youngster Taylor Hunt.

Goodes was booked for sliding feet-first into Hunt during the second half of the Swans' 16-point loss to the Cats on Friday night.

The incident was assessed as reckless conduct and low impact, meaning Goodes drew an initial penalty of 125 demerit points.

Goodes has an existing bad record of 66 demerit points carried over from the past 12 months, which increases the penalty to 191 points - just shy of a two-game ban.

The early plea reduces the penalty by 25 per cent to 143.25 points.

Goodes remains eligible to win the Brownlow Medal.
