Todd Goldstein is looking like a certain starter for North’s historic Friday night encounter with Richmond in Hobart according to Director of Football Geoff Walsh.

Goldstein finished the game against Sydney with ice on his knee but has pulled up well.

“He’s fine. He will be OK. The (medicos) had a look at him [Saturday] and he pulled up fine. We expect him to be OK,” Walsh told the Herald Sun.

North’s injury list should shrink significantly this week with several key players due to resume via the VFL including Lachlan Hansen.

The defender missed the past three weeks with concussion after a bump from Williamstown player, Cameron Lockwood.

“He trained pretty well last week but there was no game in the VFL so he had nowhere to play. He is a certainty,’’ Walsh said.

Jed Anderson (hamstring) and Taylor Garner (hamstring) could also return.

“We will see how Jed and Garner train,” Walsh said.

“They should be ready to do a full week of training and if they get through OK they could play.”
