After the completion of the $34 million redevelopment at Blundstone Arena, the new Western Stand will now be known as the Ricky Ponting Stand.
It's a fitting recognition for Tasmania's finest cricketer, and avid Kangaroos' fan.
The new stand will host thousands of North fans during the club's three Hobart fixtures in 2015.
To celebrate the stadium's completion, supporters are invited to check out the stadium and new stand on Friday, February 13.
From 5.30pm until 7.30pm, free tours of the stand will be conducted, with football activities for the kids.
Supporters will also be able to secure their seat in the new stand, with members able to view their current seat location.
There will also be merchandise available to purchase, complimentary tea and coffee in the Premiership Room, giveaways for the junior Roos and NMFC membership staff on hand to answer any enquiries and to assist in the purchase or change of seats for the three home games.
